Terry working in the Studio
After taking photos, I bring them back to the studio, print them out, and arrange them. I glue them into a larger photo collage image. Here, I am working on masonite panels. After gluing, I weight them down overnight. Then I might paint on the photos or add a texture of wax using the encaustic process. The process is slow, but yields an image that captures a scene with movement and time added in the technique.
In The Pottery Studio
Every now and then, we need to get out of our routine and reset. For me, this happens in North Georgia, where I can spend my days playing in the mud and walking through the trees. Nothing beats a quiet time of reflection, laughing with old friends, and doing what you love to refresh your joy.
